HAIIII GUISE!!!
So........ Woke up this morning half dead because my alarm was ringing and the room was pitch black... Having windows fully covered as if we were vampires doesn't really give way for the sun to give us that morning glare... Not sure if it's a good thing or not, but it sure doesn't help with waking up!

Anyway, my room mate was in the bathroom when I wanted to shower, so I stuck around on my laptop and did blehhhh.. By the time I was done with showering, it was 15 mins before my class (uh oh).
I then contemplated on skipping class, but I then realised I should probably go because the lecturer will talk about the mid-terms... So I went.
Special Topics in IR. Professor is awesome. Classes are thought provoking. But I spent 2.5 hours playing Pokemon on my phone. Wut.
LOL.
After class, it started pissing down. As in... rain.
But 10 minutes after, the rain died down and we passed through the field + had lunch at the cafeteria. $2 bibimbap = awesome.
When I got back to the dorm... It was laundry time!!
I think it's my 7th or so time doing laundry.... Whew.. House husband training in progress? Sure.
Whilst waiting for the clothes to finish washing and drying, I was researching the cavity treatments and prices in South Korea...
After browsing through 20+ websites and forums, I've found out these things:
- You can get cavity fillings for 30,000 won ($27) BUT it's a cheap filling that may not last as long and these clinics are usually very far + do not practice under the hygiene standards we are used to in Sydney [Some clinics reuse gloves and do not sterilise equipment after patient(s)].
- Some clinics charge 100,000 for cavity fillings + 50,000 for cleaning/scaling but may not be able to speak English.
- My clinic charges 150,000 for cavity fillings + 30,000 for cleaning/scaling after all discounts and can speak English well. Doctors have practiced in the US and seem to be quite good...
- The 150,000 fee for cavity fillings may only apply to stage 3 cavities where the hole is considerably big.. My cavity is still quite minor (I hope) as it doesn't feel too big....
BUT ANYWAY.
$160 now is better than $1600 later if I were to risk waiting till my return/risk going to a less able clinic.
After laundry and dinner...
Small group time!
Waiting for the people to come... This is the basement where the Church worship hall is!
Awesome group of genuine guys who are looking for accountability and a group where they can share and talk about 'guy stuff' openly.
After the bible study, we had half an hour or so minutes of sharing about our week and prayer points. It's so refreshing to be able to talk to a fellow brother in Christ about your struggles in real life contact... The first time after one and a half months being here.
After small group, I headed over to Anam to meet up with Jo and her mentor JiHyun for after-exam desserts and a relax session for her. All the best Jo! Praying for you =].
How am I spiritually? Ceewing asked me this tonight as we were talking...
How do I feel...
I can definitely say a lot better than last week... A lot of things to thank for this week and after hearing that a fellow exchange friend and everyone else back home are keeping me in their prayers, I feel so encouraged and more fired up to do this exchange program properly!
WOOHOO!
Thankful: Brothers and sisters in Christ who genuinely have the desire to look out for me. Small group brothers, B+S back in Sydney and fellow exchange B+S who are facing the same struggles.
Prayerful: Honesty, integrity, humility and commitment to my small group brothers who are committing their all to this group - their trust, their strengths and their weaknesses.
Dangers: Lately I've been quite angry/impatient with some people... I think I've lately bottled up too many anxieties or I have a lot on my plate... Health, money, exams, things left back at home... And the fact that I can't necessarily sort some things out immediately because I am here.
