Sorry... No photos today because it was just another class filled day haha !!
Mmmm.. I was supposed to wake up at 9am for a 10am class... NOPEEEE. I woke up and I went straight back to sleep after turning the alarm off..... I just had no energy and my room mates were very noisy in the morning so my sleep got interrupted a few times..
But anyway.. I properly woke up at 12.30pm to get ready for my 1.30pm class... Feeling a lot better and a lot more awake =P (10 hour sleep... yuppp).
Having the alarm next to my pillow wasn't helpful either! But I was getting very important messages in the morning, so the phone had to be nearby >=D.
Today's Global Ethics class was one of the easier classes because for once, I agreed with what he was going on about... The topic was Poverty and how it is our responsibility to care for those in need.
It resonated with me because I agree that being generous with our money is what God calls us to do for we are already made rich by Him. Even though I do admit I haven't been generous in the past, I will look into charities [Compassion Australia seems to be a good choice] and devote myself to cheerful giving.
With charities such as Compassion, it becomes even more worthwhile because the money donated to them will also go towards Bible teaching on top of caring for the poor.
The class also talked about how we should think twice when eating at a fancy restaurant or spending our money on luxuries we don't necessarily need... If you could save $150 eating a $50 meal with your girlfriend, and putting that money aside for Church, charity or wise savings; why not?
But then again... I think the class was a bit too extreme because they were saying that you should ALWAYS donate your excess earnings to charity because that is most ethical.
I just believe that there should be a wiser balance of generous giving, cheerful giving and managing future necessities (future family's wellbeing and planning ahead just in case).
Anyway...
Apparently according to my classmate, my $27 haircut was way too much for Korean standards.. He gets his hair cut for $10 and he says it's still on the more expensive side.... =X.
My mentor said the same thing... but I guess next time I'll go with a Korean local and maybe it'll be better haha!
That being said, JUNO hair was good anyway (because it was close and they could speak English =P ).. I wouldn't mind paying another $27 for another haircut there =D. Hopefully my hair doesn't grow out for another 2 or 3 months.. Don't want to get too many haircuts... ceebs LOL. ++ That money can go towards charity!
Had 2 Onigiris for lunch and then ate at the cafeteria for dinner XD.
Good stuff =D
Only spent $6 today! WOOHOO!
Tomorrow I'll be withdrawing another $500, crossing the $1500 mark of money spent in Korea... sigh..... and it hasn't even been 2 months....
Some good things happened today!
I know for one, something in Sydney around dinnertime... (congrats you good man! Definitely still praying for you).
I've managed to find a way to contact that woman. Hearing her voice after over 2 months was so refreshing... Smiling stupidly right now.. HAHA....
Oi Hemi... walk on air. DO IT.
Thankful: A good start to the week. Technology and it being a useful tool for communication and catching up.
Prayerful: Against distractions caused by frequent communication but being consistent with encouragement and spurring each other on.
Dangers: As Hemi has said... Staying up late isn't good... Nothing good happens after 2am... Watch that clock!!!
YEUUHHHHHH
