one hundred and thirty one

Crazy crazy crazy New Years...

So on the 30th... We went to a ski resort at 6am..
Woke up at 5 after a 3 hour sleep (kept waking up because of my coughing)... Also started to cough blood =X. Not very positive aye XD.

Anyway... After struggling to get out of the dorm before the sunrise, we met up at Wangsimni station at around 6.15 and headed over to Dongdaemun to catch our pre-booked bus. Crazy day...



Bags. Bags everywhere.







Ski shoes vs Snowboard shoes.. I think that was Thiago's foot HAHA.

Dying Thiago waiting for breakfast. Burger King wasn't going to be open for another hour... and I was dying from hunger... My stomach literally began to eat itself.. -_- Or at least it felt that way...

So we had Starbucks. I had a burrito + a bbq chicken sandwich. Hungry hungry. The prices were a bit higher because of the location, but meh.

About to go down the slope.. Excited and scared at the same time. FREEZING COLD.

All the little kiddies and beginner adults... Felt a bit weird being here.

Going up the Intermediate slope. We moved on very quickly... Intermediate within the first hour..





Still at the Intermediate Slope... second hour.

Advanced slope after 2 Intermediate runs.

Lunch break! Burger King.. Eero and I shared a couple set.

Again at the Advanced slope. Our last run before heading home at 5pm.


 Tired, aching and muscles feeling like tofu, we headed home and some of us got ready to go out again. At 7ish, I headed out to see Carolyn, Jasmine and Ting at Sinchon to celebrate her early birthday.

Yakult soju, Strawberry soju, fruit bowl... Mmmm. Good stuff. $9!

Eero and Michael joined soon after and we headed over to Big Mama and several other bars...

It is really true what 'Pirates of the Caribbean' says about alcohol (rum)... it is a vile drink that turns even the most respectable men into complete scoundrels. But not limited to men...

Haha...

Saw a few things too many that night... Young people out and about... In clubs getting intoxicated and what-not... Yeah... A den of iniquity would match it!

But at this stage... I wished I hadn't drank as much as I did... I could feel my mind losing control and it wasn't hard for me to do something reckless.... Hence why I dislike clubbing when alcohol is in the mix. 

After Big Mama, we headed off to a little pub..  Forgot the name, but they had good soup. Haha... We ordered a 3L tower of beer... and it wasn't long before it was gulped down....


Went home at around 7 and woke up at at 4.30pm... Yeah... Even now I'm still sick and the coughing is seriously worrying.

Everyone went out to celebrate NYE at a bar in Hyehwa.. and they went to several other places after in Hongdae... I stayed home because I really felt I wouldn't be able to survive another night in my condition... So yeah... I had a very quiet NYE.


My pre-midnight meal. I spoiled myself with those sausages.


As I am typing this, the sun is rising to my left behind the other dormitory building... Welcome 2013... Goodbye 2012.

Hopefully with this new year.. I will make more disciplined and controlled choices....
