eighty seven.

Friday was filled with.... boredom and non-activity until dinnertime.

Soo, Eero and I agreed to meet up to help Soo with her English exam.. But she didn't even study for it so we didn't end up studying when we met up.. LOL.

So we went to E-mart to buy some moisturiser for my foot as it has begun getting very dry due to the weather.

After that, we had Albap [Salmon roe + rice] for dinner and headed over to the bar next door.

The bar was called Beer Friends.. Quite nice! It had a lot of international beers but was rather pricey...

Asahi - 7000 won
Tsingtao - 6000 won
Heineken - 6000 won
Guinness - 8000 won
VB - 7500 won

but...

Korean beers - 2500 won
Soju - 2500 won

I ended up taking these - $8 altogether.

Mmmmmm bar snacks.

I made a new friend.

Being slizzbuckets.

Funnily enough, I was the slizzbucket that night...
After drinking those beers and soju... I felt very tired but the others wanted to go to another bar.. So off we went to TLC Bar... A nice-ish bar... but I don't remember much because I ended up sleeping inside LOL.

After that, we went back to the dorm by taxi because I couldn't be bothered walking... Came home at around 1am... But was extremely tired and had a huge headache.

SATURDAY

Met up with my mentor/buddy at lunchtime at Gangnam for some back-street inspections to see what it's like in the daytime... Quite interesting. Very different to the main street.

It's Lennox.

A Cafe that sold Burritos =O. Good OJ.

We stayed for around 2 hours and then I headed off to Church for Thanksgiving Banquet.

Crowded staircase.

Crowded hall.

Yeah..

The table deco.

Guy and girl looking to the left.

This is the hall where we have our service.. =D. Turned into a dining hall. WOO!

The MC was quite funny.

MC: I've had people ask me if we are going to have wine with the turkey and ham and saying that Jesus drank wine, so is it okay if we had wine? I would therefore now like to happily announce that whilst you are enjoying your dinner, I will ask those who would like wine to put up their hands and Pastor Doug will come around and pray for you and your alcoholism. Thank you.

We also had raffle prizes...

MC: We have lots of cool prizes guys! Be excited! First up - an all expenses paid cruise for two.... to Pastor Doug's house.

MC: Okayyyy next prize!!! Probably our most exciting one! It's two front row tickets.... to tomorrow's service.

Lining up for the food.

Mashed potato + gravy, stuffing, beans, corn, ham, turkey and cranberry sauce.

Pecan Pie. mmmm.

An awesome day!

When I got home, I worked a bit on my presentation due Monday... Most of it is done, so I'm quite happy. =].

It's 5.41am now though, so I should probably head off to sleep.

Today was my first Thanksgiving dinner [American Style] and it was quite a nice experience.
We all have something to be thankful for. If we would only stop for a minute and think about all the blessings in our lives, it would perhaps make us happier and feel more grateful toward the One who has blessed us so richly..

Health, money, education, shelter, family, friendships, food, sufficiency and over-sufficiency, abilities, technology, toilet paper, clean water... oh I can go on forever... =]

Thankful: Rich blessings and sufficiency in Christ.

Prayerful: Being thankful for everything. Anything that comes from God is good.

Dangers: Body has been weak lately due to lack of sleep and rest.... And when the body is weak, the mind and its ability to control is also weakened...
