Let me start with a word of comfort...

"God tests us by how we deal with the failure of our tests."
- John Piper

It was never about condemnation or failure.. God holds the condemnation for our failures and he doesn't hold it against us if we are sincerely repentant and seek Him.

But... it is about the latter part of the above line... Will we rise up beyond the devil's lies and seek God in repentance and in our guilt? To be able to humbly say that we are weak and sinful and to seek God who has the power to forgive and strengthen us.

Today's classes were 'meh'... Nothing productive really... Just a cold and dry day... =X.

But as I was doing my research for my Global Ethics presentation... I started thinking about the possible points of argument that the class and the professor may bring up against Christianity..

My topic is the US invasion and involvement in the Middle East... In the documentary, there is no mention and no direct discussion into Christianity... but it does seemingly assume that the US is a Christian nation.... Which I believe is going to be the main point of argument the class will bring up.......... which irritates me.

I don't believe the US is the face of Christianity... I don't agree with some (or most) of what the US is doing in the international realm..
US invasion, 'intervention' and unjust wars seem to revolve around selfish drives for resources and global hold of the title 'superpower'... It was never about religious or ethnic cleansing.
Sure, some may mention the early colonialist attempts in the Diego Garcia and the conversion by 'missionaries'... But I'm not so sure about the legitimacy of those so called Christian settlers - who engaged in rape, brutality and forceful action.

Furthermore, in the more recent times... I don't think it's safe for people (especially my professor) to assume that people who say they are Christians are all Christians... We live in a world full of false teachers and those who distort the truth... There are 'Christians' who are pro-apocalyptic and believe that they are acting as the wrath of God - killing and assassinating people.

But it clearly says in the Bible..

3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
2 Timothy 4:3-4

19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
Romans 12:19

We shall see what will happen next Monday when I am giving the presentation... Last class I was ready to walk out of the classroom mid-way through because of the ridiculous claims and grounds of the discussion itself..... It is hard to be patient around students who are blindly believing what the professor is saying without first exploring the other side.... But it is highly comforting when Hemi reminded me that Jesus once said "the world hated me first".

After class, I headed back for lunch before my final afternoon class...

My room mate gave me these.. BEST chocolate + orange I've ever had.

I then broke my chair...

But fixed it half an hour later because I am a growing handy-man. Husband skills have increased!

But gosh it was irritating... LOL.

In future: refrain from loosening things that shouldn't be loosened.

After fixing the chair, I had class again and then went back for dinner... HUNGRY AS.

My room mate then came back after dinner and gave me this bar for helping his English project.

OOOOOFT.

Tired...  Sleepy.. Hungry...

=[

Thankful: An interesting day... Productive in terms of preparing for my presentation though...

Prayerful: Small group tomorrow (today)!

Dangers: Anger and frustration toward my Global Ethics class... I need to learn how to love those who hate me and the God I believe in.
