I've lost all concept of time and day...

Gosh..

In 15 minutes, I will be taking Nicole to the airport with Lyna and Eero...

Sigh..

4 months ago, we met and we brought up the weird topic of having to say goodbye in 4 months time.

3 months ago, we were too busy going out and laughing our heads off.

2 months ago, we were bogged down by assessments and homework and forgot the time that had quickly gone by.

1 month ago, we said how ridiculous it is that we have 1 month left together.

2 weeks ago, we started counting down the days.

1 week ago, we tried to do as much as possible.

Crazy...

Have a safe flight Nicole!
=]

Also...

Congrats Evan and Ivan for finishing your HSC and officially being a year 12 graduate =D

Proud of you boys.

HAHAHAHA.

It's 9.51am.

Just got back from taking Darren to the airport.

SORRY. Must sleep because some of us are meeting at 1pm to go out for Nicole's farewell.

UGH CRAZY TIMES.

Another late/early night LOL.

It's 7.45am and I just got home... Hurrr...

Yeah... LOL.

So...

At 9pm, we watched The Hobbit in 4D.. Quite an experience... Moving seats, wind effects and even perfume for scenes with flowers and what-not.. Haha.... Woo!

But it was good anyway =D. $15 for the ticket.. ;D.

After the movie, we decided to have a late night snack.. Ddeokbokki !!!

At this stage, it was 12.30am... Haha...

After that, we hit a bar and chilled there for a few hours... 2 or 3 to be exact... And then because most of the European exchange students were leaving later today, we found it fitting to have one last karaoke session before they left... Haha.....

4am... 5am.... 6am... Bam.. Got out at 7am. LOL.

Uh huh....

CRAZY NIGHTS.

Thankful: Memories and relationships with the Europeans. Some I was close to, some others not so... But overall, it has been a positive experience filled with laughter =].

Prayerful: Their safe trip home.

Dangers: COUPLE SEASON.

It's 8.16am on the morning of the 17th.

Gosh.

Just finished my 3500 essay on Climate Change... Wow that's a big achievement. Not sure of its quality, but I'm sure it's a passing quality...

My head is spinning and my senses are becoming more and more dull. Speech has slowed down considerably and I'm losing my mind to empty wanderings.

A good day all be it.

Finished an assignment that isn't due until Wednesday and I thought I would finish on Tuesday... It gives me time and concession to enjoy the day today and tomorrow =].

But for now... I must rest.

151212

one hundred and fifteen.

115 days... 115 days since I've been here.. A week more and it'll mark my 4 months.. My gosh.

Looking back 4 months... Things were a lot better at the start. Fresh, strong, focused.. although naive.
Naive because I thought it would be easy to sustain 10 or so months of being faithful to one cause - growth.

Looking back 3 months... Classes have started and already feeling the pressures of a University student in Korea. Distractions came around, but I managed to remain unshaken.

Looking back 2 months... Comfort and a constant absorption into the typical youthful life meant a deeper but all the more dangerous struggle to keep up with disciplines I once had.

Looking back 1 month... A repetitive cycle. Counting down the days until the end of semester. Booked out weekends to meet with friends. An absorption into the fun and games - often forgetting the real spiritually worthwhile opportunities held out on display for me to grasp hold.

Looking back on today...

Nothing's right.
Deep inside, I feel a sense of discomfort and a huge sense of distance from the first time I stepped out of that plane 4 months ago.

Things indeed have changed. Devotions, quiet times, reading, prayer and even just valuable chatter have all diminished to a dry and empty non-existence.

There is no doubt about it.
I am losing sight of what I came here to see.
I am losing hearing of the Voice I sought for guidance.
I am losing taste of the sweetness and desire for divine wisdom and teaching.
... I am losing touch of the person I first wished to mature into upon my return.

Things aren't right, right now.

There are things I must deal with. Urgently.

Things have changed. Changed ever so dramatically. As hard as it is to admit it, I'm finding it hard to stand strong.

...

Yet I am still comforted that one crucial element has not changed.
My God remains the same.

Remain by Starfield

Defender of this heart
You loved me from the start
You never change

Through the highs and lows
As seasons come and go
You never fail

Day after day
Your love will remain
Faithful and true
You are good

You are God with us
You're victorious
You are strong and mighty to save
For Your word stands true
There is none like You
And when all else fades
You remain

When troubles come my way
You guide and You sustain
Lead me, I pray

Forever You will be
The great eternal King
Now and always

So... I forgot that I had taken pictures of last night (Friday night).

Long Island ice tea and my Gin + Tonic.

Soo + Eero + Darren. Good mates =].

In my corridor/hallway in the dormitory... There are boxes piled up... With suitcases inside and suitcases on top labelled with the outbound ticket tags ready to be transferred to the airport. I believe it is one of those luggage shuttle services that transfer them straight to the airport + respective planes.

On top of that... I've never seen the dormitory so empty. Tonight for dinner, there were only a handful of perhaps 8 people eating at a given time... When usually there would be 50+.

Now that the semester is officially over, students are heading back to their hometowns. My room mate has just left for Japan tonight and all of my exchange friends will be leaving next week. Crazy huh....

Thankful: Sleeping in. Sufficiency in rest.

Prayerful: Church tomorrow. Focus and rediscovery.

Dangers: Over thinking a lot of things...

So....

Woke up at 4pm. LOL.

An hour before sunset... Uhh.... Felt like I wasted the day.. But then I realised - Semester has finished!!! WHAT THE HECK!?!?

Now I'll be literally on a Korean holiday until the Spring semester starts in March... Wow... =O

And then give 4 months after commencement ... HOME TIME! WUT.

Mmm

So I didn't do anything today until around 8.30 when I met up with Eero, Soo, Darren, Nihat and two others for dinner and then a bar XD.

Bar 37th.

The Bar was bad news - all you can drink cocktails and beer for $13 (15000 won). HAHA.

Lovely.

Had a Gin & Tonic and Eero got me a Vodka Cranberry.. Also had a beer and whew... Good night.

=X

I've sobered up now but got a light headache... Perhaps it's time to sleep. XD.

Thankful: I didn't do anything 'bad' whilst intoxicated... =X At least not to my knowledge.

Prayerful: An enjoyable holiday despite most if not all of my exchange friends leaving =[.

Dangers: Bars + Alcohol + Girls = .... ----- Especially with some of the people I went with tonight.. Felt like I was getting set up.

Had my last class for the semester today... O M G.

Has it been that long already?

In 9 days it will be my fourth month here... Almost crossing the halfway point of my exchange program.

Wow.

It's been really cold these past few days.. So cold that it's infinitely more tempting to stay indoors, away from the piercing wind and that dry numbing pain you get on your ears and nose on a cold day.

But nevertheless, I had classes to go to and final exams to attend... And things to do..

Tonight, I met up with Jasmine and Carolyn again for dinner and Karaoke. Definitely a fun night filled with laughter and much amusement =]. I hope their Winter classes aren't too harsh on them.

In preparation for The Hobbit, I've been watching LotR lately so I haven't been sleeping early.. But I end up sleeping during the movie anyway... What the heck...

Anyway...

Here are some pictures of Wednesday's dinner.

Pig feet and chicken feet =D.

Jokbal + Dakbal

Mmmmm

$36 between 6 people

Wooo!!!

Boneless Chicken Feet.

After =P.

I'd definitely go again... But next time I shall look for a spicy one.. This one was rather sweet and quite reminiscent of honey ham.. But it was nevertheless tasty and a real treat =].

Thankful: End of semester!!!!!!

Prayerful: One more essay to do for assessment..

Dangers: The idleness and laziness have kicked in.... =X
